Founders are naturally creative, and thrive when solving problems. As inflation, rising prices and uncertainty in the economy take their toll on small businesses across the UK, many of our founders are asking; what should I be doing for my business?

To help answer this question, we’re bringing together a panel of founders and experts to uncover what resilience really means for startups, from managing cashflow when margins are squeezed and outlooks uncertain, to looking after your own wellbeing and that of your team.

We know times are hard, but founders have shown an incredible amount of resilience to get through the past two years, and at this MeetUp we want to show you how to navigate the next few months and beyond, so we can all emerge stronger.

After the panel there’ll be a chance to meet with each other and the Virgin StartUp team, where we’ll answer any questions you have, and hopefully provide a dose of much needed optimism and inspiration to take away into your business.

On the panel:

Anna Brightman is co-founder of UpCircle, the UK's leading upcycling beauty brand. UpCircle started life with a Start Up Loan from Virgin StartUp and have since grown their ethical skincare brand to being sold in 40 countries. They have committed to freezing their prices in the face of inflation, so Anna will be sharing her tips on how to navigate the current crisis as a founder of a consumer brand.

Jana Kovacovska is founder of the Tiny CFO, on a mission to make corporate ("business") finance fun and easy to understand so that you can quickly use the learnings to make your company stronger. Prior to starting Tiny CFO, she was a venture capital investor, a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and freelance in finance and strategy roles at Deliveroo, Business of Fashion, Rubix, and others.
