Mentor Mondays: Seymour Segnit

Mentoring is a vital part of succeeding in business - which is why we’re super proud of how our Virgin StartUp mentoring program puts those starting up in touch with the perfect mentors for them.

However not everyone can access mentoring, or you may not be sure of the best person to help your business achieve your potential. In recognition of this, Mentor Mondays is a new series by sharing nuggets of wisdom from all fields of business. Now everyone, at any stage, can learn from experts at the forefront of technology – and from the comfort of home.

This week’s Mentor Monday comes courtesy of entrepreneur Seymour Segnit, whose varied career has seen him work for advertising giants Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi, a stint on British radio, and teaching as a ski guide. He is now the founder of Change That’s Right Now (CTRN), a company supporting those who suffer with serious phobias, which he started up in 2002.

Seymour believes that mentoring has been vital to all his projects. Failure is critical to success – the average millionaire has failed 16-17 times before they hit the big one – but learning along the way is what leads you eventually to make your dream a reality.
