Inspiring women to 'Make it Happen' - GEW 2015 Meetup

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, join us on Thursday 19th November for an evening of celebrating female entrepreneurship, exploring the resources out there to help you start up, and networking with like-minded business owners.

The gap between male and female-owned startups may be closing – at Virgin StartUp alone, the businesses we fund are 40% female to 60% male – but there’s still a long way to go, and we know that we can do better. We want to see more women taking the plunge to start up – but to do this we need to make sure that the resources and information is there to make it happen, and accessible to everyone.

We’ve got some awesome talks lined up with some of the UK’s most exciting entrepreneurs. Roxy Vickerman of social enterprise SOAK Shakes & Co. will be sharing her startup journey. We’ll also welcome Sudha Kheterpal of Shake Your Power, a world-changing way to generate clean electricity through a percussion instrument. And Skyping in all the way from Jamaica will be Patria-Kaye Aarons of Sweetie Confectionary,  a brand creating sweet treats starring local Jamaican flavours.

Taking place at WeWork’s Aldgate Tower office in London, it's sure to be an inspiring and fun evening - grab a ticket now. We look forward to seeing you!
