One of the best bits about Virgin StartUp is the opportunity of working with so many motivated and exciting entrepreneurs - both those starting out, and those who are part of our mentoring programme. It’s amazing to see businesses develop and grow, and to see the connections made between entrepreneurs.
Virgin StartUp wanted to say an extra special thank you to all of our mentors who have been nominated as 'Mentor of the Month’ in 2017. We’ve had so many amazing nominations over 2017 and it's clear from these just how much the support of our mentors means to our entrepreneurs. We’ve selected one particular mentor as our 'Star of 2017’ - a huge congratulations to Lucas London!
Lucas currently mentors Von Ryan Sy, founder of Nimble Babies, and has also supported Virgin StartUp with two additional mentoring projects we've run with our partners WeWork Labs and Escape the City. Lucas is currently setting up Australian business Airtasker over here in the UK - a trusted community marketplace for people and businesses to outsource tasks to those with the required skills. Lucas will be supporting Virgin StartUp in our July 2018 Meetup on 'How to Scale' as one of our guest speakers, and has made several introductions to businesses who have gone on to support Virgin StartUp with some of our flagship events. You can read more about Lucas and how he helps startups here.
If you’re a Virgin StartUp business whose mentor has gone above and beyond, we always want to know about it in 2018. Here’s to another year of helping businesses grow and thrive!
