We've given over 400 entrepreneurs the funding they need to turn their start-up idea into a fully-fledged business.  This means we've granted over £2.5million in start-up loans so far. But we're not done yet.

Earlier this year we invited some of the entrepreneurs we funded, including Sophie Frost, co-founder at Yucoco and Lily Rice, founder at Lexie Sport to meet Sir Richard Branson and reveal how the funding and mentoring has helped them to start-up. Watch what happened below:

The loans we offer businesses range from £500- £25,000 and come with a low interest rate of 6.17% APR. This funding can be paid back over three to five years and the interest rate only kicks in after a year and by then, hopefully your business will be up and running and making some money too.

On top of the funding, we also offer a perk that money can’t buy - your very own mentor. Our mentors are committed to a minimum of 15 hours of one-on-one face-to-face support over the course of your first year after receiving the funding. You’ll be matched a mentor whose strengths match your weaknesses, so they’ll be able to help your business in areas you’re not so confident.

All of our mentors are experienced entrepreneurs who volunteer to Virgin StartUp as they genuinely care about supporting a new generation of British businesses.
