This has also been created to dispel a few myths, such as:
Virgin StartUp is only applicable to young entrepreneurs? Not true. Anyone aged 18 or over and based in England can apply for a Virgin StartUp Loan. Our oldest recipitent of a Virgin StartUp Loan is Dennis Booth aged 73 at the time, to launch his removal business - Booth Removals.
You need tons of cash to make your business happen? Not really, our average amount of loan we give out is £8,000 and that's enough to start businesses we're confident are going to succeed. Also, we've helped start a few businesses with just £500 - such as Stacy Levin and her start up, Scorpio Bookkeeping.
Virgin StartUp is only available to entrepreneurs in London? Nope, we can support entrepreneurs from all over England. We've funded businesses from Cornwall to Birmingham and up to Newcasltle.
