Win a trip to Chicago to boost your business
We have a brilliant opportunity to send an entrepreneur funded by Virgin StartUp to Chicago with Virgin Unite.
Flying out on the 25th August, they’ll get to stay in the shiny new Virgin Hotel in Chicago for two nights and be invited to attend a special one-day event for 100 entrepreneurs on the 26th August hosted by Virgin Unite and Virgin America, before a return flight home on the 27th.
The event will cover a range of topics, such as branding, finance and getting a business up and running. We’ve even reserved a slot for the Virgin StartUp business to showcase their idea in front of the audience and expert speakers to get invaluable feedback on how to grow the business.
The speakers confirmed so far include: Howard Tullman CEO of 1871, Amy Kaherl founder, Detroit Soup and Gayle Northrop Lecturer and Faculty Advisor at Anderson and the President of Northrop Non-profit Consulting, with more to be announced very soon. The day will hone your skills and give you the practical advice you need to either start or grow your business and you’ll be able to meet likeminded entrepreneurs and some of the Virgin companies. You’ll also have your business and the trip blogged about on VirginStartUp.org and VirginUnite.com
How to win this opportunity?
We are looking for entrepreneurs that have a business that is “doing good” in the world and can demonstrate proof that it is making a positive impact to people and planet; this could be anything from addressing local unemployment, to creating a technology that mitigates climate change.
You need to have received funding from Virgin StartUp to be eligible. You can apply for funding ranging from £500 - £25,000 from Virgin StartUp here.
