The winners of #MentorMeBranson announced!
Recently we announced a fantastic opportunity. Three businesses would be selected to board a train with Sir Richard Branson, winning a thirty-minute mentoring session with him where they could discuss their businesses, get advice, and generally have the mentoring experience of a lifetime.
We were bowled over by the standard of entries. We already know that those applying for our startup loans are amongst the brightest and the best of the UK startup scene, but it truly was amazing to see the businesses coming forward for the opportunity. However, there could only be three winners.
Announced officially at our recent event in Newcastle, 'Sir Richard Branson and Friends', we're delighted to tell you that the winners are:
Nick Smith of Steam Machine Brewing Company
Nick Smith is the founder of Steam Machine Brewing Company, the UK's first keg craft brewery. Brewing has long been a hobby but now he's turning it into his business, and we're excited to see what's next!
Claudia Ladaria & Almudena Vieitez of Bilingual Beats
Bilingual Beats is an innovative way of teaching children a foreign language and music at the same time - so fun you don't realise you're even learning.
YC Ng & Yee Mun Thum of Scarlett of Soho
Scarlett of Soho is the UK's first subscription designer glasses service. You pay £10 a month and get to change your glasses when you like - perfect if you can't stick to one pair!
Congratulations to all our winners!
